thanksgiving

thanksgiving day
It is a time to give thanks to God for all the things he gave and give to us, to say thanks to the pepople, etc. it is celebrated the 4 thursday of november. The origins of Thanksgiving go back a year 1620 when a ship (Mayflower) with more than 100 English colonists Atlantic crossed to settle in the New World. This pilgrims group, of religious strong convictions, opposed you to the beliefs of the Anglican church and the end it had to undertake the voyage of the ocean to escape from the fork. The pilgrims settled concretely in the one that is now the current State of Massachussets, in the historical colony of Plymouth Rock. Its first winter in the American New World was extremely difficult. They passed hunger, cold and they died half of the colonists. In the following spring, helped by Indian Wampanoag, they learned how to sow corn, a plant before unknown for the colonists. The Indians also taught them to cultivate other foods, to hunt and to fish. In the autumn of 1621 generous grain crops, barley, beans and pumpkins were gathered. The colonists, like sample of religious gratefulness organized a banquet that the Americans have denominated historically this way: The America's First Thanksgiving. The pilgrims invited the Great Boss and 90 Indians of their tribe Wampanoag. The Indians took deer meat to be roasted and turkeys (turkeys). The colonists (pilgrims) had learned how to cook the blueberries and they prepared the different grain classes on unknown china for the natives. For this first day of Action of Thank you, the Indians had taken until popcorns of corn. Of here he/she comes off that even Thanksgiving and pilgrims is nowadays closely united expressions.
